Routier Publications
Several divers publications of some merit have been produced for the
edification of mankind. They are:
| The Standards Manual (Third Edition)
This is the big one - the clothing & equipment "bible" for the Routiers. 93
pages, A4 format, lavishly illustrated throughout. Following the highly successful
red-covered First Edition, and the even more successful
green-covered Second Edition comes the publishing event of 2000.
This stunning edition has been painstakingly edited by our very own talented,
industrious and beautiful Victoria Tuson, with contributions by
many of our research-till-you-drop members.
This compendium of what- and how-to for the ECW period
(well, 1642 anyway) is an invaluable addition to any reenactment library. It covers
fashions for men & women, accoutrements, weapons and armour, and just about anything
you can wear or use. Now, for the first time, this fine volume is available to the
general public as well as Society members.
This book is near the end of this print run. Order now while there's some left.

| The Routier Cyclopaedia II
A complete guide to historical re-enactment in Australia and
the world in general, seen through the unerring eyes of those stalwarts of the Pike
& Musket Society. People who know nothing about the Routiers or even re-enactment
have bought this book and had their lives changed forever. Very educational, and very,
very funny. And it's all true! Well, mostly. This is the second edition of this book,
revised & updated in 1997.

| The Compleat Routier Songebook
Every song devised since the dawn of Routierdom! No, not really. Well, practically
every Routier song, anyway. A must for "stirring the pot" and drunken campfire
camaraderie. Favorites include "I am SCA", "I Was Only Thirty-Eight" and "Satan Loves
the Little Children". Not for the faint of heart. A5 format, 71 pages, 57 varieties.

Forthcoming Titles
A number of further publications are at varying stages of production. They are:
According to The Routiers
Previously published as the Routier Gaming Manual, purchasers were promised that they would win a fortune. Owners of this volume are invited to spend part of their ill-gotten fortune on this enlarged and expanded edition containing: patronising disclaimers; Stool Ball; patronising disclaimers; Maw; Gleek; Ruff; Nude Bumpo along with the old favourites of Softcocks; La Puta Madre; The Number of the Beast; Mumblety-peg and many others.
Scheduled for publication late 2005 2006
The Reverend's Hornbooke
A companion volume to the Big Booke of Leather in the early stages of production, this slimmer tome presents the horn industry of the mid-seventeenth century and discusses whether horn really was the plastic of the early modern world. Again, instructions and tips for making your own are included, mainly so the Reverend doesn't have to make them for everybody.
Scheduled for publication mid 2006 2007
A third volume, The Reverend's Stick Booke is currently under negotiation.
